Foil Campfire Cooking

Foil campfire cooking is essentially wrapping your meal in aluminum foil and placing it in the hot coals of your fire.  We’ve got a couple of tips below to make cooking your meal in foil a bit easier.

1.  You will need to tear off a piece of foil about double the size of your meal.

2.  If possible rub the foil with butter or oil to keep the food from sticking to the foil, thereby reducing the chance of the food sticking.

3.  Choose foods that cook for about the same amount of time.

4.  Pull 2 ends together and fold over 2 to 3 times.  then fold the ends of the foil packet 2 to three times to create a foil pouch.

Place the foil pouch in the hot coals of you fire, turning the pouch occasionally with tongs to cook evenly and avoid burning.
